Not to sure, but if you do not mind the mouse functions not working in X,
the port is not too difficult.  I have been running it for a few weeks
now, and everything seems to work.  I could be missing something though.
 
What I did was:
untar the archive :)
go to the pico directory it makes
edit the makefile.neb and remove the -DMOUSE define.
Then, go to the pine directory,
edit the makefile.neb and remove the -DMOUSE define from there as well.
 
Then just run 'build neb'
and it will compile just fine.

Hope that helps, all functions appear to work fine.
