The symptoms are the same, just the system is more up to date. The problem appears as a hang (though a box can be rebooted with ctrl-alt-del), after the line of 'Mounting root from ufs:/dev/idad0s1a' appears from the kernel. Only happens if SMP is enabled. My array controler is: Compaq SMART-2/P array controller, thoug it uses the same driver (ida), as the one mentioned in the PR 31035.
