	Well, that's not really the one you want I don't think. You want the
one in 
/usr/X11R6/lib/. Take a look at /etc/rc.conf and make sure that you have
a line that looks like this:

ldconfig_paths="/usr/lib/compat /usr/X11R6/lib /usr/local/lib" # shared
library search paths

	Since I have no familiarity with how ldconfig works, I'd suggest you
reboot after you fix that up (if that's the problem) and then see how it
goes. :)
