I love portupgrade, but I never let it upgrade Apache, nor other=20 mission critical packages, especially those that require makefile=20 editing and other tricky config. As a rule of thumb, use such automatic tool for what they are good at:=20= working over loads of uncomplicated stuff. Backup everything that can=20 be rolled over by this truck should its brakes fail ;) Read portupgrade' manpage, do dryruns, determine possible pitfalls,=20 establish your strategy, and do it step by step (nothing oblige you do=20= upgrade everything in one go). You should be fine and you'll learn for=20= the next time. best of luck Raphael Le mardi, 29 avr 2003, =E0 19:01 Europe/Zurich, Jonathan Arnold a =E9crit = : >> Apache is not part of the OS.
