Perhaps.

There are two ways to affect forwarding:

1. Make an entry in /etc/aliases pointing the old name to the new:

oldname: newname@newmachine

Appending .REDIRECT to the domain name will cause sendmail to send the
sender a message telling him/her about the change.

2. Drop a .forward file in the user's home directory with a list of
email addresses to forward to, one per line.
