I just compiled my kernel and setup my sound card with device pcm and it worked once when I started KDE for the first time after the compiling the kernel and now it doesn't work along with these 3 apps. The CD Player crashes as soon as I run it, tells me that KSCD crashed on signal 11 (SIGSEGV). KDE Media Player crashes on signal 6 (SIGABRT) and aRts Control crashes and it tells me this: "Connection to the soundserver failed, make sure that artsd is really running and your kdelibs version is not older than KDEmultimedia" (which they should not be because I installed them), then I tried to run artsd from konsole and get this: "Device /dev/dsp can't be openned (device not configured)". Did anybody ever had this problem? How do you fix this? What's weird about it is that it worked the first time I started KDE2.
