Some time ago there was troubles with usage of two CPU's from different series together, so possible you will have to bye 3 CPU's finally, because first one will not work with next. It was so on P-3 Coppermine , and tualatin, and i don't think that something is changed. So maybe it will be better to bye 2 CPU's one time? As i know any intel CPU will work in single mode.And again last tests - is p-3 age. But not any motherboard will work with one CPU, as i know.
