Hi Guys, Is there any news on when the version of binutils that ships as part of the base system will be updated? The version that ships with 7.x etc is about 5 years old now. It creates problems on amd64 when compiling mplayer (assembly language directive errors), and can be resolved by installing a newer version of binutils. Feel free to share your thoughts :) Alex.
