I really have to agree here.  I couldn't believe the difference between
IBM DDRS-34560W and the ultra-wide 'cudas and atlas-I,II's that I have.  

I would be skeptical of the awesome viking-II's until they've been around
a while and their firmware is proven reliable.  My personal history with
Quantum has been firmware hell.
