I would suggest using the Linux version under Linux
emulation. It will, as you say, allow you to use
Linux plugins, and runs as well as Netscape runs :o)
my 2d worth.

I would like to install the Netscape to get the
most that I can on my desktop (FreeBSD 4.2)
[ ] Should I install the FreeBSD version??

plugins.
* I would think it would run the best. True?

I would rather not install both if I don't
