We are missing some important info in order to help you.

1. ISA or PCI cards (I guess, ISA, because you didn't specified `P')
2. Which revision?
3. What modules - SM-I or newer SM-II?
4. Your config file
5. Kernel diagnostic output (/var/run/dmesg.boot)
