The information needed to wire down SCSI devices (which appears to be 
necesary in some cases with systems that have more than 1 SCSI controller) 
is contained in

/usr/src/sys/i386/conf/NOTES for v4.10, and

/sys/conf/NOTES for 5.3-STABLE
