 Having spoken with jkh, it's almost certain that -ports support
 for anything other than 4.x and 5.x will be dropped with the
 coming of 4.3-RELEASE -- I'm still waiting from asami-san to
 confirm this.   Most -ports developers/maintainers do not have
 3.x boxes to test things on any more.

 Yes.  But as with all dirty hacks, it probably works.  Though you
 should keep a copy of the 3.x /usr/share/mk around just in case
 other oddities occur elsewhere.
