Yes.  We use them on servers running FreeBSD.

If you look at the menus on the FreeBSD web page, you will find a link 
to pages [and pages and pages] of hardware that is supported.  I think
that DDS-3 and DDS-4 and other DDS DAT drives all look the same or almost
anyway, to the system.  They appear to use the same driver.
