Good stuff Steve.

The download section of the website must be written with newbies as the 
intended audience.  This is most likely their first encounter with FreeBSD 
if not UNIX.  As such, *anything* which discourages them is bad for the 
FreeBSD Project.  

I believe that part of our duty as helpers is to make things easier for 
the newbies.  There are some people that don't want to help newbies.  
That's their choice, but it's no excuse for being rude.  It's one thing to 
direct someone to a manual or a webpage.  It's another thing to tell them 
to RTFM.
