Hello.

[please understand that this is a problem hard to search for in the
mailing lists, as it is quite specific, what`s worse, english isn`t my
natural language]

I`m having a very odd problem here. When I connect to my modem using ppp
or cu, characters come in only when I send some. It`s hard to
explain.. Say I type `ATDT`, only `ATD` will appear. The last `T` will
appear when I send another character. Same goes once connected to the
remote machine. It`s particularly unuseable when in full screen apps such
as Pine since a command may provoke a full screen update, which will in
turn need me to send many characters in order to be seen.

I`m wondering wether this is a kernel bug since it`s new in 4.1-RELEASE. I
did not have this problem in 3.x-stable or 2.2.8. Same goes for windoze,
the modem is working correctly there. I`ll try to compile a kernel with a
later version of /sys/isa/sio.c, since I suspect that this is the problem.

Anything will help. :)

A.
