Many advisories are delayed even after appropriate fixes have made it to
-CURRENT and 4.x because 3.x still needs to be fixed and that one takes
more time these days (and this will not improve I guess.) This is so that
even those running older versions still receive the security fixes. If you
follow -STABLE, you are fine long before the advisory comes out... you can
always find out from the mails on cvs-all.
