Not really. As far as I understand, the system is based on a Mach
kernel, with MacOS and 4.4 BSD servers -- just like NeXTSTEP was 
before, only with 4.3 BSD instead. For non-BSD applications, the
performance of the BSD server is irrelevant.

What application on which hardware?
