What means this strange message at boot up time? I see something
like following when rebooting my FreeBSD 2.2.8-RELEASE:

sio0: configured irq 4 not in bitmap of probed irqs 0
sio0 at 0x3f8-0x3ff irq 4 on isa
sio0 type 16450
sio1: configured irq 3 not in bitmap of probed irqs 0
sio1 not found at 0x2f8

(All other boot-up strings looks like usual...)

As the result, "Failed to open /dev/cuaa1: device not configured"
from pppd or natd daemon (don't remember exactly - its just from
memory). What is the history? I was asked to setup a router
(LAN-to-dialupPPP) for one guy on FreeBSD... I took his hard disk,
installed it into my comp (as primary master), installed FreeBSD
on it, configured and tuned the router with my LAN and modem.
All worked O'K - no any problem with sio0 or sio1. Then... I
removed HDD with FreeBSD from my comp and installed it into his
comp, where it should be... And... I'm in troubles :(
Good old msd.exe from MS-DOS shows that it see COM1: irq=4,
I/O=0x3f8 and COM2: irq=3, I/O=0x2f8. FreeBSD does not...
Of course, I said in UserConfig (Boot: -c) to use sio0 and sio1.

I think, I will try to talk with modem on that computer by some
communication program (like TELIX), booting from MS-DOS floppy disk,
just to check these serial ports hardware - tomorrow. And will
try to return HDD into my comp to test it once again. Moreover,
some time ago there was a Linux on that computer, and it used
the leased line modem on /dev/cua1 (sio1) without problems. May it
be FreeBSD software/configuration problem?

BTW, I see also:
"WARNING: / was not properly dismounted"
and
[....] "CLEAN FLAG NOT SET IN SUPERBLOCK (FIXED)"
on every slice of hard disk on that comp.

Now I see it after almost EVERY rebooting (using "reboot" command
or Ctrl-Alt-Del). What I can do to exclude this problem as well?

Thank you for your help,
Eugene
