Hi all

I would be very grateful if someone could help with this:

I am trying to play real audio files on my FreeBSD machine (Dell
Optiplex with built-in SB compatible sound card). The cd player works
very fine, although the output is a bit low... I can play mpeg files
using mpg123.

But I can't play real audio files properly: I get a sound output but it
is very distorted and with a lot of noise.... and I am not even
streaming ! this is all on the same machine...

Thanks in advance for any bit of help

Guilhem Ensuque
