Wouldn't it be easier to just add the following to the Makefile? # if not NO_CRYPTO DPADD+= ${LIBCRYPTO} ${LIBRSAGLUE} LDADD+= -lcrypto -lRSAglue CFLAGS+= -I/usr/include/openssl -DCRYPTO -DHAVE_LIBCRYPTO # endif (This is closer to what the tcpdump configure script would do if it found -lcrypto).
