Does it really necessary (yes I know that MFS is obsolete)?
This certainly is interesting reading both from technical and
historical points of view, so we may want to keep it around.

Perhaps it would better to create some location for such
papers (say share/doc/papers/obsolete) and keep it there
instead of removing completely.
