Depends.

You cannot run a PIO drive faster than its PIO value. =P

But the HPT support in the ata driver performs incredibly well, save for
some saturation problems on the PCI bus which Peter Wemm and S/oren
Schmidt are investigating.

But then again, that was like 5 or 6 ATA66 drives. ;)

We do outperform the Linux driver, that's for sure.
