If it ain't broken...

IMO the best replacement for procmail is procmail. :-)

Postfix works well and is easy to configure.

Put the following in /etc/rc.conf;

    sendmail_enable=3D"NONE"

To disable the building of sendmail next time you do a 'make buildworld', a=
dd
the following to /etc/src.conf;

    WITHOUT_SENDMAIL=3Dtrue
