 I see that you use `portsnap fetch install`, but portsnap
 doesn't have `install` target. You should use
 `portsnap fetch extract` in first time and
 `portsnap fetch update` to update your tree.
 I'm trying this with python 2.7 on 9.0-current with no
 problem. Please try this and tell us if it helped.
 You can try to delete /usr/ports tree (except distfiles/
 and packages/) and do `portsnap fetch extract` to make
 clean experiment.
