Yes, although there are slight differences in the script
in /etc/ppp/ppp.conf ie 'predl' was not supported at
2.2.2-RELEASE also I have buttoned out the Hayes M0 code
so I can hear what the modem is doing if anything.

The response is as follows :-
sylmex> ppp
Can' open /etc/ppp/secret
Warning: No password entry for this host in ppp.secret
Warning: All manipulation is allowed by anyone in the world
Log level is 281
Using interface: tun0
Interactive mode.
ppp ON sylmex > dial provider
Dial attempt 1 of 10
Phone: (0845) 0800 1000
dial OK!
login failed
ppp ON sylmex > Packet mode.
ppp ON sylmex > close
ppp ON sylmex > quit all

There are some pequliarities with Compuserve in that
the login is 2 numerics seperated by a comma and the
password must have a special character in it somewhere
and in my case this is 2 words seperated by a 'space'
I don't know what 'ppp' will do about this !!
