I also noticed this announcement a week ago or so at
the Infoworld site, but I have no idea what this will mean
for the future of the NCR based SCSI cards...

They (Adaptec) seemed to indicate that they would be using
both lines, but at this point in the game, I'd say it's
impossible to know.. :-)
