Define "usage".  Under unixes, there isn't much of a difference between
disk cache, executable program images, and application data.  On most
systems, all of the memory is "in use" somehow or another.  If you're
looking for something to graph, a better indicator of memory load is
pageins/pageouts per second (the "pi" and "po" columns of "vmstat 1"
output)
