Hello all, I want to write my own file system, where I can find information how many tracks, heads, sectors per track have my disk (or any other disk) ??? And how UNIX reads-writes blocks, I mean by sector-cylinder-head, or linear addressing... In a word please explain me it, is it an algorythm for calculating sector-cylinder-head number from block number ??? Where can I get more information on writting own file system??? Many thanks in advance - Ed To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
