Which is, sadly, only very partially correct.  Some problems can
indeed be solved by somebody going "CHARGE!" and then running into the
machine gun fire with a cheering group of soldiers following them.
More often than not, however, the person yelling CHARGE! ends up
running onto the battlefield alone while everyone else hides in their
foxholes and thinks "boy, is HE brave!  I sure hope he manages to
knock out that gun before I have to stick my head up again!"

If you had to deal with the amount of carping I've dealt with from
those who also tend to run away and hide at the first sign of trouble,
you'd be irritated too.  I also don't ask for much more than people
coming face-to-face with reality and realizing that we're not in an
ideal world and have neither ideal generals or ideal soldiers on this
particular battlefield.  It really shouldn't be that much to ask.
