Mark,
Isn't Sascha still running a cvsup server that is fed from the ctm's?
If so, a reasonable alternative is to use the src tree that you have
already downloaded (or read from CD) and have Sasha's cvsupd transform it
into a starting place to allow you to use ctm for future updates.
