Appending cloned_interfaces instead of simply setting it is probably marginally useful to like 10 people in the world, but in this scenario only makes it a bit more complicated. It's inconsistent with every other common rc.conf setting and adds a scripting syntax which is unneeded and many are likely to be unfamiliar with. Since it's a non-experienced user using the doc a lot, distilling to bare essentials is the best. -- Adam
