I think what is happening is that there is no way for you to map between the hostnames and the ip addresses of your dhcp-configured machines. What you can do is that in addition to dhcp, you can put in dynamic dns support. This can be done with bind8 or 9 and isc-dhcpd2 or 3. See dhcpd's man pages for more info.
