I have a hardcard in my crash machine that does not like having the "second
unit" on it's IDE interface probed. When this happens, it puts the card in a
messed state. As a result of this, it takes my machine a "little longer" to
boot that would be expected.
I was wondering if anybody would be interested in patches to allow the wdc
code to not probe various units on thier system? I plan on writing a quick hack
for myself, but if anybody shows interest, I would be willing to make a much
nicer patch. (Or is there such an option in place that I have missed?)
