Just change name and/or number in /etc/rc.conf.

Then you must also change the IP adress in the DNS, and then you will get your
spam again.

If you want to "start afresh", then first unsubscribe from all mailinglists.
Get a new name for your machine; ip-adress too, if you really have enough to
spare. Boot, and resubscribe, and tell all your friends your new adress. But if
you don't want spam, don't write anything public...

Take a look in /etc/mail, there you have a spamlist maintained by
postmaster@freebsd.org I think.
