This doesn't work under 3.2-STABLE & 3.3-STABLE at least:

/root # ifconfig fxp0 inet x.x.x.x netmask 0xffffff80 media 100BaseTX media-opt full-duplex
ifconfig: media-opt: bad value
/root #

I've tried this before, but never been able to get it to work.
