strongly agree, bill. : )

well, for her info: 
http://people.freebsd.org/~jkb/howto.html is a good start for setting 
minimum security if using freebsd
and, using portscanner(nmap), sniffer(strobe, snort), tripwire etc 
can help to intrusion detections.
