Let me check that I understand that correctly: are you saying that it is
simply not possible to install with 8MB or that you need swap to install with
8MB?

When I tried to install 4.1.1 on a machine with 8MB RAM I certainly did have a
swap partition, but it did not seem to have been activated during installation
as the installation failed with an out of memory message. Should sysinstall
maybe call "swapon -a" after creating partitions?
