Got it to work as long as I don't put the - in!  weird :/  Anyway, it has
to do with the crap switch that I am trying something out on.  If any of
the connections are 100Mbps, it craps out (even though it is a 10/100
switch!)  lol, that's what I get for buying cheap for a experiment ;)
