Hmm that's hard to say. At one point months ago I had my SB Live working
and it worked gret with XMMS. Im not sure about the "digital" output
though, I don't have digital speakers :(

I am running the SBLive! 5.1 card also but don't have the "digital" 
output working. Does this channel work OK for your installation ?
