Try ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/FreeBSD-current/src

and do a:

get sys.tar.gz

This will get the current kernel tree (about 6 or so meg)...  If you
forage around a bit, you can also find the 2.2-ALPHA and 2.1.6 stuff
also...
