Hi, I've been playing with mirroring my ZFS boot drives onto zvols on my NAS served up over iscsi. So far it seems to be working pretty well although reboots and NAS outages do require manual recovery. One problem I'm seeing that's probably not really a problem is that no matter what I put as blocksize in the target definition in ctl.conf ZFS is seeing an 8K blocksize and moaning about it not matching the 4K blocksize of the SSD partition. It's totally harmless and even the performance warning is probably bogus but it would be nice to shut it up if anyone knows how. I still have to work out the details of replacing a boot drive (ZFS boot off iscsi is not going to be happening - although that would be very cool). I think it goes boot off USB, attach iscsi target, import pool, attach new SSD, resilver, install bootblocks, reboot and pray.
