In the sun, on the sheltered side of a building, that sort of thing. I found some code to use an Arduino as a USB wireless receiver for inexpensive temperature/humidity sensors like the Meade TS34C. It requires some modification to a common wireless module. So far, I have not got it working. http://jeelabs.net/projects/cafe/wiki/Receiving_OOKASK_with_a_modified_RFM12B http://forum.jeelabs.net/node/309 https://bitbucket.org/fuzzillogic/433mhzforarduino/src/7fadcc1199ad/RemoteSensor%20library/RemoteSensor/SensorReceiver.h
