I'm running 8.1 on 2.1.5.  I had to make the same changes to the
structure accesses.  ISC says it's a known bug and will be fixed in
8.1.1.  I haven't had any problems with core dumps, even when I try an
ls.  Maybe the problem is with the zone you are listing?
