There are a lot of people who want to make FreeBSD a OS that is usable on
the desktop by normal everyday non-technical end-users (aka a "retail OS")
and the very same people (or a sizable overlap at least) also are the ones
who b*tch the most about how plain text email and the stuff that goes along
with it is "evil" (or at least for luddites). So in the mind of the people
who know FreeBSD is not (and never was meant to be) a retail OS, link the
two in our minds.
