The problem is that somehow your BIOS does not emulate the keyboard it seems. Normal BIOSs will explicitly convert a USB keyboard into a normal AT keyboard. This means that the kernel can't find a keyboard. Remember that USB support is not compiled into the GENERIC kernel. I'll have to buy a new system in the next few days and I am lookingat buying one of these machines to nail down a few problems.
