Thats what we do also. We hired some engineers and it
seemed they spent more time on "build world",
than solving the problem. When one of them went on
vacation (for a few days), we told him we needed to
sell his computer. We replace a 350MHz PII with a
386dx @ 33Mhz. It took him about 3 days, but he
started thinking about the problem, not building
new code. It's become very effective in retraining
engineers.
