I have a Quantum Atlas II SCSI HD that I want to use in the new box I'm building but apparently FreeBSD 4.2 doesn't like the AdvenSys UW SCSI controller (the handbook says it's supported). It's either that or the Abit motherboard with the VIA chipset that's giving me the trouble. The HD is fine as I've tested it, and all other parts I've swapped already. Any clues or insight anybody? Oh, the problem is that it times out during the installation when it comes to the SCSI HD. After playing around I was able to get past it but then it 'panics' and the systems hangs. ---Marius To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
