I understand what you're asking for, and don't immediately see any reason why it would be a bad idea. However I also have 0 experience with jails, so I may not be the best person to comment. :) Can you write send something that is basically this simple to let's say freebsd-current@ and see if anyone there can think of a reason not to do this?
