Silly follow-up, to try and figure out why I'm so screwed up in the head
(you don't need to tell me, I already know it's true :). What does this
paragraph from http://www.cdrom.com/titles/freebsd/bsd40offer.phtml
mean?

"If you are a current FreeBSD Snapshot subscriber you will be getting
4.0 at YOUR special discount rate and it WILL be sent to you
automatically as a thank you for being on the front-lines of
bug-checking etc. This offer however is only good for Current Snapshot
Subscribers and New Snapshot Subscribers who sign up before 4.0 is
released. After that you'll have to pay full price. If you are
interested in subscribing to the FreeBSD Snapshot, check out this page.
"

Probably being dumb and missing the point,
{I blame my immaturity}
